Basketball Recap: Franklin Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Max Mcclure and William Rauers

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Franklin can now relate to. They fell 67-60 to the High Point Central Bison on Tuesday. The Panthers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Franklin's loss came despite strong showings from William Rauers and Max McClure. Rauers went 7-for-15 to rack up 16 points and three steals, while McClure went 6-for-9 on his way to 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, McClure now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Brannon, who posted nine points.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for High Point Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for High Point Central, they will face off against Robinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Robinson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully High Point Central likes a good challenge.
