Basketball Game Preview: Waller Bulldogs vs. Cypress Park Tigers

Waller is on a four-game streak of home losses, Cypress Park a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Waller Bulldogs will host the Cypress Park Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Waller is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Cypress Springs on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Waller was outmatched by Cypress Springs and fell 93-26. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-16.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cypress Park duked it out withCypress Woods on Saturday. Cypress Park received a blow as they fell 47-30 to Cypress Woods. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 924th, while the Wildcats are ranked 376th).

Waller's defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Cypress Park, their loss dropped their record down to 6-22.

Waller didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cypress Park when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win. Will Waller repeat their success, or does Cypress Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
