Irving got themselves on the board against Berkner on Tuesday, but Berkner never followed suit. They blew past the Rams 13-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won seven in a row.

Shantia Haymer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Abigail Cardenas was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Royce Johnston, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Irving always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .630 or higher in five consecutive games.

Irving's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-13-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Berkner, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.

Irving will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
