Softball Recap: Hillcrest Gets the Win

Hillcrest came out on top against Blount on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Jaguars had just enough and edged out the Leopards 11-10. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Adalyn Boykin was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Corianna Lett, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Hillcrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Blount, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hillcrest will head out to challenge Monroe County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blount, they will venture away from home to take on Murphy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
