Zach Huchel was a major factor in Hoopeston's victory over Schlarman on Friday. Huchel was dialed in as he struck out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He played a big game the last time he faced Schlarman back in May of 2024, so the team probably should've seen him coming. Huchel has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
