Baseball Recap: Centennial Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Centennial ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mt. Whitney Pioneers 2-1. The Golden Hawks haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Centennial's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Whitney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will square off against Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Whitney, they will face off against Redwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
