Basketball Recap: Mountain Home Takes a Loss

Mountain Home and Greene County Tech squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Mountain Home had to settle for second. They took a 50-35 bruising from the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles. The game marked the Bombers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Greene County Tech was led to victory by Jacey Edrington and E'Marriha Johnson. Edrington posted 13 points, while Johnson almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Myiah Butler, who put up five points and six rebounds.

Mountain Home has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-6 record this season. The victory was the 24th in a row for Greene County Tech, bringing their record for this year to 31-2.
