Football Game Preview: Soquel Knights vs. Hollister Haybalers + How To Watch

The Soquel Knights will square off against the Hollister Haybalers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Soquel will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Thursday, everything came up roses for Soquel against North Salinas as the squad secured a 41-12 victory. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Sam Whelan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 23 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 224 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 157.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Keyandre Bailey, who rushed for 114 yards.

Hollister not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 35-0). Everything went their way against Monterey as they made off with a 33-8 win. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Haybalers were the (much) better team in the second half.

Hollister's win came from a few key players Soquel will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jordan Quezada, who picked up 126 receiving yards and one TD.

Hollister's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Soquel, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
