Soccer Game Preview: Park City vs. Jordan

The Park City Miners will square off against the Jordan Beetdiggers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Park City's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Park City didn't have quite enough to beat Wasatch and fell 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for Park City in their meetings with Wasatch: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 7-0 to Tooele.

Kailyer Konold, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Jordan squad sat out for Wednesday's game. With Konold sitting this one out, Skyler Heaps got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 52.5).

Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Park City, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Everything went Park City's way against Jordan in their previous meeting on April 1st, as Park City made off with a 6-1 victory. In that contest, the Miners amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
