Basketball Recap: Isaiah Mcrae Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lake View

Latta won the last time they faced Lake View and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Latta Vikings walked away with a 46-35 win over the Lake View Wild Gators. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Latta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Mcrae led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Mcrae a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Shayon Mcgruder, who posted 15 points.

Latta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Latta has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. As for Lake View, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Latta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-55 victory against East Clarendon on the 29th. Lake View has also already played their next matchup, a 48-41 defeat against Green Sea Floyds on the 29th.
