Baseball Recap: Ritchie County Comes Up Short

Ritchie County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Harrison Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 on Thursday.

Ritchie County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tony McBrayer, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Garrett Flesher also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Ritchie County's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for South Harrison, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Ritchie County will challenge Doddridge County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Harrison, they will welcome East Hardy at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
