Basketball Recap: Streamwood Takes a Loss

Streamwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Marengo Indians and fell 66-34. The Sabres were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2025.

Streamwood's loss came despite strong showings from Jaelin Tate and Jermaryle (JC) Parker. Tate posted 13 points and three steals, while Parker put up 13 points. That was a full 38.2% of the Sabres' points, marking the fourth time in a row Parker has had more than a third of the team's points.

Streamwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-26. As for Marengo, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-21.

Looking ahead, Streamwood will host Larkin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marengo, they have already played their next contest, a 53-26 victory against Harvard on the 10th.
