Soccer Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom managed to keep up with Charles J. Colgan until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles lost 7-0 to the Sharks. While losing is never fun, Freedom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Charles J. Colgan are ranked 39th).

This is the second loss in a row for Freedom and nudges their season record down to 5-5-1. As for Charles J. Colgan, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Freedom didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Forest Park on the 9th. As for Charles J. Colgan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against Potomac Senior on the 12th.
