Basketball Recap: Ricky Clark Key Part of a Team Effort in Hawks Win

After losing to Northern Lebanon the last time they met, Hamburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hamburg Hawks secured a 56-51 W over the Northern Lebanon Vikings on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Hamburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ricky Clark led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Clark has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty Werley, who posted 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Hamburg pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Northern Lebanon, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Hamburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-61 win against Wyomissing on the 28th. As for Northern Lebanon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-53 defeat against Eastern Lebanon County on the 27th.
