Recap: Bridgeport Baptist Academy Broncos vs. Community Baptist Christian Kings
This season hasn't been kind to the Bridgeport Baptist Academy Broncos, who are still winless after their fifth match. Their rough 47-24 defeat to Community Baptist Christian on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Bridgeport Baptist Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while Community Baptist Christian is ranked 119th).
Among those leading the charge was Parker Hawes, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kendall Williams, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Bridgeport Baptist Academy has fallen quite a ways from their 18-3-1 record last season and are now at 0-5. As for Community Baptist Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
