Baseball Recap: Camden Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Camden Central entered their tilt with Calloway County on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Lakers.

Maddox Trull made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Trull was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other pitching news, Gage Weatherly looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Camden Central is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-6 otherwise.

Back at the plate, Gage Johnson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Camden Central's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Calloway County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Coming up, Camden Central will take on McEwen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calloway County, they will face off against Hopkins County Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calloway County is facing Hopkins County Central at the right time seeing as Hopkins County Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
