Softball Recap: Wheeling Park Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wheeling Park can now relate to. They fell just short of the Morgantown Mohigans by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Mohigans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Wheeling Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenna Tipton, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Wheeling Park's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Morgantown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Wheeling Park will face off against John Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morgantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
