Softball Game Preview: Lincoln West Wolverines vs. Rhodes Rams

Lincoln West is 0-4 against Rhodes since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Wolverines will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Two weeks ago, Lincoln West made easy work of John F. Kennedy and carried off a 16-4 win.

Meanwhile, Rhodes got the win against John F. Kennedy on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-3. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Fighting Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Lincoln West suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to Rhodes in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
