Basketball Game Preview: Downtown Doral Dolphins vs. iMater Charter Knights

The Downtown Doral Dolphins will face off against the iMater Charter Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Friday, Downtown Doral humbled Marathon with a 77-40 victory. Downtown Doral has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

Juan Castro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 9 on his way to 24 points and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateo Davila, who posted ten points along with five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, everything went iMater Charter's way against International Studies on Thursday as iMater Charter made off with a 70-46 victory.

IMater Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Downtown Doral, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Downtown Doral took their victory against iMater Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 78-53. Will Downtown Doral repeat their success, or does iMater Charter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
