St. Bonaventure beats St. Augustine 21-20 with no time on clock as Saints appear to have intercepted spike pass one play earlier.

In a weekend of wild high school football playoff finishes, St. Bonaventure (Ventura, Calif.) might top them all.

The Seraphs beat St. Augustine (San Diego) 21-20 in the CIF Southern California 1-A Regional Final on a double-pass with no time left to punch their ticket to state finals on Saturday against Folsom (Calif.).

It wasn't just the final play that provided heart-stopping action as the final 14.8 seconds were full of several unbelievable moments you can see in the video above.

St. Augustine, up 20-14, faced a fourth-and-24 from its own 15 and let the clock run down to just under 15 before punting the ball away.

But a 15-yard punt gave St. Bonaventure a shot with 8.4 seconds left and trailing by six

Quarterback Anthony Wolter found Max Peters on a skinny post down to the 5 with 4.2 seconds left.

After stopping the clock to move the chains, the Seraphs set up for a spike to stop the clock with 2.1 seconds remaining.

Only St. Augustine freshman nose guard Asofa Lauifi appeared to submarine the center and intercept the spike before it hit the ground. But the referee immediately ruled incomplete, setting up the game's final play.

On second-and-goal, Wolter tossed a backward pass to Peters who turned and fired a strike to Kayin Booker in the back of the end zone for the game-tying score.

When junior George Mann blasted the extra point through the uprights, the Seraphs rushed the field in celebration of their ticket to the state finals.
