Soccer Recap: Commodore Perry Starts Season with Win Against Oil City

Commodore Perry gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Oil City Oilers. It was an even better day for Xavier Williams as he scored four goals for his team.

This is the second loss in a row for Oil City and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Commodore Perry is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Iroquois at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oil City, they will square off against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give Oil City their first taste of in-conference action this season.
