Basketball Recap: East Palestine's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

East Palestine hadn't done well against United recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The East Palestine Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 42-26 victory over the United Golden Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-26 back in December of 2024.

Kyler Bourne was his usual excellent self, going 5 for 8 en route to 14 points. Clark Rutledge was another key player, putting up seven points.

East Palestine's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-5. As for United, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Palestine will take on Columbiana at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. East Palestine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. As for United, they will host David Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. David Anderson will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something United surely won't give up without a fight.
