Basketball Recap: Western International Comes Up Short

After flying high against American International Academy last Tuesday, Western International came back down to earth. The Western International Cowboys were dealt a 61-21 loss at the hands of the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen on Monday.

Western International has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. The victory was the seventh in a row for Grosse Pointe North, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.

Western International does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grosse Pointe North, they will take on Cass Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Grosse Pointe North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Cass Tech likes a good challenge.
