Basketball Game Preview: Summerfield Bulldogs vs. Grosse Ile Red Devils

The Summerfield Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Grosse Ile Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grosse Ile took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Summerfield, who comes in off a win.

Summerfield will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 25 points on Friday, then bounced right back against Erie-Mason on Tuesday. Summerfield simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Erie-Mason 64-32. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-32, which was the final score in Grosse Ile's tilt against St. Mary Catholic Central on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Falcons/Kestrels are ranked 22nd).

Grosse Ile's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Summerfield, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
