On Wednesday Carter Wilcox struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). The effort also marked the fewest walks (zero) Wilcox has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with more than five strikeouts. This season, he has an ERA of 1.87 over 15 innings pitched.
