Baseball Game Preview: Spencerport Rangers vs. Webster Thomas Titans

The Spencerport Rangers will face off against the Webster Thomas Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Webster Thomas took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Spencerport, who comes in off a win.

Spencerport will bounce into Monday's game after beating Irondequoit, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rangers walked away with a 9-6 win over the Eagles on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rangers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Rowan Boyzuck, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Watson, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Webster Thomas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Victor, falling 8-1. The contest marked the Titans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Webster Thomas saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Zimmer, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Webster Thomas now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Spencerport, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything went Spencerport's way against Webster Thomas in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Spencerport made off with a 13-7 win. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
