Basketball Game Preview: ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars vs. Brimfield Indians

The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Brimfield Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. ROWVA/Williamsfield is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-43, which was the final score in ROWVA/Williamsfield's tilt against Peoria Christian on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 449th, while the Chargers are ranked 207th).

Meanwhile, Brimfield came up short against Annawan on Saturday and fell 61-51. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brimfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

ROWVA/Williamsfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Brimfield when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 54-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for ROWVA/Williamsfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
