Harbor hasn't had much luck against Gonzales recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Harbor has given up an average of 35.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Harbor came up short against Santa Cruz on Friday, falling 38-14. Despite 145 more yards than the Cardinals, the Pirates couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Hudson Coffey Pennell, who rushed for 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Malik Wooden also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Gonzales got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They slipped by Marina 29-28. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Mariners recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Gonzales, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
