Volleyball Recap: Marina's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Marina came into Friday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Oxford Academy Patriots on Friday as Marina made off with a 3-0 win. The Vikings not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.

Marina's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Oxford Academy, they moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marina will welcome Fountain Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oxford Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cerritos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
