Baseball Game Preview: Daniel Boone Trailblazers vs. Science Hill Hilltoppers

The Daniel Boone Trailblazers will venture away from home to square off against the Science Hill Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Daniel Boone made easy work of West Ridge and carried off an 8-1 victory. Considering the Trailblazers have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson McCurry was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-4. Will Gregory was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Science Hill waltzed into their game on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Indians 4-2.

Science Hill's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Daniel Boone, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7-1.

Daniel Boone came out on top in a nail-biter against Science Hill in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trailblazers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
