            Softball Recap: Marquette Redmen vs. Westwood Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            
 Marquette won the last time they faced Westwood, and things went their way  on Friday too. The Marquette Redmen put the hurt on the Westwood Patriots with a sharp  19-8 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Marquette.
  Ady Trapani and  Charlye Swajanen did most of the damage at the plate:  Trapani  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4, while  Swajanen  scored three  runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Keira Lindberg, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Marquette's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Westwood,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-9.
 Marquette will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Ishpeming at 12:00  p.m. Marquette is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Westwood will take on Iron Mountain at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Westwood is facing Iron Mountain at the right time seeing as Iron Mountain is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
