Baseball Recap: Rison Extends Winning Streak to Six

It was a proper cat-fight when Rison duked it out with Hamburg on Thursday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 back in March.

The win (which was Rison's sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Hamburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rison will challenge Drew Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamburg, they will take on Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lumberjacks have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
