The North Shore Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the King Panthers on Tuesday. Given North Shore's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 138th, while King are ranked 312th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Shore's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3-4. As for King, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Shore is set to square off against their familiar foe Summer Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, King will take on rival Channelview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
