Basketball Game Preview: Star City Bulldogs vs. Hermitage Hermits

The Star City Bulldogs will square off against the Hermitage Hermits at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Star City is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Watson Chapel just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 68-37 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since January 2nd.

Meanwhile, Hermitage was beaten by Emerson 58-18 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Hermits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Pirates are ranked 97th).

Star City's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-14. As for Hermitage, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.
