Volleyball Recap: Thornton Academy Beats Marshwood for Their Second Straight Victory

Thornton Academy won the last time they faced Marshwood and Brooklyn Desrochers did her part to make sure it happened again. The Trojans came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 3-1 on Thursday with plenty of help from Desrochers, who had 15 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Thornton Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-20, 27-25, 21-25, 25-13.

The win made it two in a row for Thornton Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Marshwood, they moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Thornton Academy will welcome Gorham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshwood, they will venture away from home to square off against York at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
