Soccer Recap: George Wythe Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for George Wythe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Fort Chiswell Pioneers on Thursday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but George Wythe were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Rylan Anderson-Jernigan, who's now up to 12 this season.

The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those six matches. As for Fort Chiswell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7-2 record this season.
