The Penn State-bound quarterback accounted for 218 yards and three touchdowns against Colerain.

With one 20-yard strike from Sean Clifford to Nick Moeller, Colerain's perfect season vanished.

For the second time this season, No. 13 Colerain (Cincinnati) (11-1) was taken to overtime against crosstown rival St. Xavier (Cincinnati). The Cardinals won 20-14 in September, but this time St. X (7-5) pulled out the win, 29-23 in a second-round Division I playoff game.

This was the one that counted.

Colrain took a 23-7 lead with 4:39 left in the third on a 26-yard field goal by Ryan Murray.

Then the Bombers finished the game on a 22-0 run. Clifford, a Penn State commit, had two scoring passes and a touchdown run and Kevin Rockwood added a 30-yard field goal in the streak. Clifford's streak to Moeller ended the game.

Monalo Caldwell had 127 yards rushing and a touchdown for Colerain, which had won three straight against St. Xavier. Quarterback Gunnar Leyendecker threw for 171 yards and two scores for Colerain, which held a 409-288 edge in yards.
