Basketball Recap: Glenbrook North Find Success

Glenbrook North hadn't done well against Saint Viator recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Glenbrook North Spartans came out on top against the Saint Viator Lions by a score of 46-36. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 53-40 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Ellen Denten and Kalin McCrea certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Denten posted eight points and eight rebounds, while McCrea had 11 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Denten a new career-high in points.

The victory made it two in a row for Glenbrook North and bumps their season record up to 10-3. As for Saint Viator, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

Glenbrook North will face off against Crystal Lake Central at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Saint Viator, they and Grayslake Central will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
