Softball Recap: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Jordan Beetdiggers

Hillcrest can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They never let the Jordan Beetdiggers onto the board and left with a 16-0 win. The victory was nothing new for Hillcrest as they're now sitting on four straight.

Kyli Carrell was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Carrell was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Hillcrest got a massive performance out of Elliot Baddley, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Skylynn Salazar Bell, who went 2-for-2 with two runs, a triple, and a double.

Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Jordan, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Hillcrest will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Skyline at 3:30 p.m. As for Jordan, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Stansbury at 3:30 p.m. Stansbury will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
