Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Groton-Dunstable

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Groton-Dunstable and Leominster, and Groton-Dunstable kept the tradition alive. The Crusaders came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Groton-Dunstable was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25, 25-13, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Bridget Houle and Lilah Tully, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Barske and her 24 assists.

Groton-Dunstable pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Leominster, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Groton-Dunstable will square off against Bedford at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crusaders are facing the Buccaneers at the right time seeing as the Buccaneers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Leominster, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Douglas at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
