Basketball Recap: Butler Gets the Win

If Glenn Hills wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Butler, they should've done a better job of containing Kwamane Bridges. Everything went the Butler Bulldogs' way against the Glenn Hills Spartans on Saturday as the Butler Bulldogs made off with a 68-44 victory thanks in part to Bridges, who shot 6-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double on 41 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Jamil Walker was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 boards. Butler is 3-1 when Walker posts eight or more rebounds, but 5-7 otherwise.

The win got Butler back to even at 8-8. As for Glenn Hills, they are on a 38-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Butler didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-53 victory against Thomson on the 27th. As for Glenn Hills, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Butler at 7:30 p.m.
