Volleyball Recap: Rouse Comes Up Short

Rouse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leander Lions. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Rouse started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Rouse still got an impressive performance from Isabella Meyer, who had 13 digs. Meyer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Rouse's loss dropped their record down to 22-18. As for Leander, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-18 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rouse is set to take on their familiar foe Glenn at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Leander will face off against rival Liberty Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
