Basketball Game Preview: Lanier Longhorns vs. Roswell Hornets + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Lanier will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Roswell Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Lanier ended up a good deal behind New Manchester and lost 62-48. The loss put an end to the Longhorns' undefeated start to the season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Michelle Ezumah, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 17 boards. Ezumah is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Johnson, who posted 18 points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-38, which was the final score in Roswell's tilt against Dawson County on Tuesday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lanier fell to 2-1. As for Roswell, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
