Basketball Recap: Armstrong Beats Greensburg Salem for Their Third Straight Win

Armstrong waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 46-32 victory over the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions. This was payback for the River Hawks, who suffered a 49-35 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Armstrong's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Szep led the charge by going 6 for 7 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Olsen, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Armstrong now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Greensburg Salem, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armstrong will challenge Shaler Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greensburg Salem, they will take on Yough at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
