Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ciarrah Doliente and Jacqueline Villalobos Lead Grossmont to Victory

Grossmont hadn't done well against Steele Canyon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Foothillers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cougars. The victory was familiar territory for the Foothillers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Grossmont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-21.

Leading Grossmont to victory were Jacqueline Villalobos and Ciarrah Doliente. Villalobos had three digs and two aces, while Doliente had 17 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Doliente has posted since September 3rd.

They weren't the only good servers: Grossmont was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in six consecutive contests.
