Baseball Recap: Marion County Takes a Loss

Marion County lost to Nelson County back in April of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell 10-6 to the Cardinals. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Noah Spalding made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Xavier Hayden, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Marion County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Nelson County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-14.

As of now, neither Marion County nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
