Football Recap: Memphis University School Comes Up Short

Memphis University School played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Christian Brothers Purple Wave and fell 42-14. The Owls were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Although Memphis University School took the loss, they still got scores from Maddox Giel and Tommie Reed.

Memphis University School's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Christian Brothers, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Memphis University School will challenge rival Briarcrest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Christian Brothers is set to face off against their familiar foe Father Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
