Football Game Preview: Mountain Valley vs. Madison/Carrabec

The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. On Friday Mountain Valley will take on Madison/Carrabec . Mountain Valley are the favorites in this one -- although they were the favorites in their last matchup, too, so the odds might count for a little less.

Mountain Valley came up short against Winthrop/Monmouth Academy last Friday, falling 8-20. Mountain Valley got a solid performance out of senior Jacob Blanchard, who rushed for 133 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Madison/Carrabec had to settle for a 26-33 loss against Spruce Mountain.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
