Soccer Game Preview: Shoemaker vs. Chaparral

The Shoemaker Wolves will head out to square off against the Chaparral Bobcats at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.

Shoemaker is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against University on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Sebastian Martinez and Derrek Garcia scored both of Shoemaker's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Chaparral was not quite Salado's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. Shoemaker's draw makes their record 1-0-1 this season.

Shoemaker beat Chaparral by a goal when the teams last played back in February, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shoemaker since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
