Softball Game Preview: Charles Henderson Trojans vs. Eufaula Tigers

The Charles Henderson Trojans will face off against the Eufaula Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Charles Henderson fell victim to Dale County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 10-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Eufaula waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 16-0 win.

Jade Barnett made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Barnett was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Eufaula let Nylah Green and Zy'Kayla Robinson run wild. Green got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Robinson went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two triples, and three runs. That's the most runs Robinson has posted since back in April of 2024. Maddie Dowling was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Eufaula's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-15-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Charles Henderson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
